Hi all sweet fruit lovers! Welcome to my Asian Fruit World blog! As I remember, today is the National Pancake Day, so of course, why don’t we make ourselves some delicious yet healthy pancakes? I have mentioned earlier how orange peel can actually do many benefits to your body. So, today I promise you that you will not only enjoy good food with orange peel but also celebrate the National Pancake Day with joy. This recipe is very simple and quick to do, and the ingredients can be found easily anywhere in the grocery stores.
I found this idea on this website but tried to cut off some ingredients that were only available in my house. Well, it still worked completely fine. It takes only 15-20 minutes to finish this meal for 2 servings. This recipe is perfect for those who are extremely busy but still need a nutritious meal for your day.
What you need
1 large egg
1 cup all-purpose flour (I used bread flour here. Like I told you, I still made good use of it.)
1 cup Quaker oats
1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
½ cup honey
1 cup reduced fat milk
¼ cup orange juice
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 teaspoon salt
Now let’s start. Whisk all the wet ingredients well first (including milk, orange juice, egg and honey). In another bowl, mix well the dry ingredients, which are oats, flour, and salt, then pour into the wet ingredients. Whisk well until all combined. Then, mix the orange zest into your batter.
Preheat the pan until 325 degree then pour your batter on. Cook each side until you see the golden brown on the edge and little bubbles on the top surface; then, carefully turn to the other side.
